History

1983: "GEORGIKI" company established in Thessaloniki by Mr. George Karakolis and Theodor Pantelakis. Began her activities by importing from the biggest international companies, high quality seeds and supplying them to the Greek Market.

1990: the company changed into AGRIS S.A.- SEEDS / AGRICULTURAL SUPPLIES. 

1998: the company moves into her own premises in the Industrial Area of Thessaloniki, by creating a most modern seed production center, in premises and technological outfit, with capacity of 20.000 tons.

2000: she increased her capital stock by 2.098.312 € with the support of her new investor (NBG FUND, owned by the National Bank of Greece). The new daughter company AGRIPLANT SPOROFYTA AEBE is opened, with purpose to serve the market of seedlings, an investment of 2.900.000 euro.

2003: Investment of 2.000.000 euro from AGRIPLANT SPOROFYTA AEBE for double capacity of the unit. 

2006: Has withdrawn after 5 years participation in the company's equity capital the Fund of National Bank. The withdrawal took place with the purchase of the shares that belonged to NBG GREEK FUND from the shareholder of the company Mr. George Karakolis.

2007: Purchase of the 35% of shares belonged to old shareholders of the company by Mr. George Karakolis and his wife Mrs. Polichronia Karalexidou. So Mr. George Karakolis ownes 96,02% of the company's capital.

29-12-2007 the new daughter company AGRIS BULGARIA LTD is opened in Sofia.

AGRIPLANT SPOROFYTA AEBE goes on with a new investment, with aim the the massive production of grafted plants.

2009: In the area of Ierapetra - Creta, in our own area of .... acres  

TODAY we create the conditions for further expansion of the company in BALKAN COUNTRIES.
