For the first time in the Greek standards took place a pioneer event (vegetable field week) from our company AGRIS S.A., in our premises that are situated in the area of Klidi - Imathias.
Our cooperators and clients have been guided around and have been informed from the experienced personnel of AGRIS and the specialists of company CLAUSE, about all our relevant vegetable varieties and ways of cultivation.
Also our visitors had the opportunity to be guided around AGRIPLANT premises, that are the most modern organized and complete in South Europe and see from near the whole process of seedlings production.
For the first time in Greece, we had the opportunity to introduce more than hundred vegetable varieties (of the French company CLAUSE), in a field of 1,2 acres, such as tomatoes (determinate, inteterminate, cluster, saladette, industrial), peppers, eggplants, melons (determinate and grafted), watermelons, squashes, lettuces, parsley, celery & beetroots.
It worths to mention that the dates of transplanting were different and the comparison between grafted and normal seedlings.
All visitors have tasted the products that had an interest for them and picked up the ones that are closer to the preferences of their areas.
At the same time took place seminars from specialized scientists. The seminars had succeeded to give useful information to both agronomists and growers.
One of the seminars had subject "Introduction of the tomato yellow curling virus (TYLCV) and a second "Eggplant cultivation in Greece and reasons for using grafted eggplant in our areas".
Our event (vegetable field week) it was really a unique experience for the Greek vegetable market, and we will take special care in order to bring every year more friends and cooperators near us, in similar special occasions.
